Gulf Energy Information’s Global Energy Infrastructure database is tracking more than 860 H₂ projects around the world. Nearly half of these projects are in Western Europe. The region is investing heavily in new H₂ infrastructure to mitigate carbon emissions and adhere to net-zero targets set out in the Paris Agreement. Following Western Europe in total active projects is Asia and the U.S., accounting for total active project market shares of 21% and 12%, respectively.
