Metacon inks distribution agreement for fuel cell unit in Japan

Metacon AB signed a non-exclusive distribution agreement in Japan with Notes Co. Ltd. Nagano for its H2PS-5 fuel cell unit. The agreement is made through Metacon’s subsidiaries Metacon KK in Japan and Helbio SA in Greece.

The agreement follows a longer evaluation and collaboration phase between the companies. The new H2PS-5 unit has been manufactured at Metacon’s Helbio site in Greece and will be shipped to Japan during September for local end-user demonstration purposes.

"Notes want to enter the fast-growing hydrogen market in Japan and see great potential for the H2PS-5 product," said Ogihara, President of Notes. "The fit with growing market needs and our plan to build model cases for energy, targeting hydrogen-based regional development is excellent."

Notes is a company active in the electronics and energy sector in Japan. Notes brings valuable experience from relevant high-technology areas such as electronics equipment and manufacturing of small-scale solar power generation systems in Japan. Notes will take on a key role for Metacon in both selling and supporting the H2PS-5 products after sales in Japan.
