ACME, Tatweer to set up green H2, ammonia production plant

Acme Solar and Oman-based firm Taweeter have signed a $2.5-B deal to set up a large-scale H2 facility that will produce 2,200 metric tpd of green ammonia

"The Oman Company for the Development of the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (Tatweer) and ACME Group  signed an MOU on March 8, 2021 to set up a large scale facility to produce green hydrogen and green ammonia at Duqm, Oman," an ACME statement said.

According to ACME Chairman Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, the plant will supply green ammonia across Europe, America and Asia. Oman, due to its location and the support received from the government bodies and high solar irradiation, is ideal for the project.
