Morocco and Portugal have agreed to cooperate on green hydrogen development.
In a joint declaration signed by Aziz Rabbah, Morocco’s Minister of Energy, Mines and Environment and Matos Fernandes, Portugal’s Minister of Environment and Energy, the two agreed to strengthen their green hydrogen priorities according to the Paris Agreement’s decarbonization strategies.
Portugal and Morocco also announced the future establishment of a joint working group to examine and implement several actions, including a roadmap for hydrogen and ammonia, as well as the development of a memorandum of understanding on green hydrogen.
