A large portion of produced food internationally is wasted. An efficient way to minimize the loss of the value of this wasted food is to use it as a source of energy through biological green H2 production, an inherently environmentally friendly energy source.

New solar panel achieves 9% efficiency in converting water into H2 and oxygen
A new kind of solar panel, developed at the University of Michigan, has achieved 9% efficiency in converting water into H2 and oxygen—mimicking a crucial step in natural photosynthesis. Outdoors, it represents a major leap in the technology, nearly 10 times more efficient than solar water-splitting experiments of its kind.
Yara to accelerate the H2 economy in Germany
Yara International plans to modify its ammonia terminals in Germany and will enable handling of up to 3 MMt of ammonia. This equates to roughly 530,000 tons of H2 and will help speed up the H2 economy in Germany.

H2Carrier AS and Anori A/S to collaborate on large Power-to-X project in Greenland
H2Carrier AS and the Greenland based company Anori A/S have signed a Letter of Intent to develop the first commercial wind farm in Greenland with subsequent production and export of green ammonia.
Vertex and Pilkington UK ink major low-carbon H2 supply agreement
Vertex Hydrogen has signed a Heads of Terms offtake agreement for low-carbon H2 with Merseyside glass manufacturer Pilkington UK. St Helens’ Pilkington UK Limited, part of the NSG Group, has led the flat glass sector in the switch towards low-carbon fuels, completing two world-first trials of H2 being fired in a glass furnace.
BayoTech partners with Ranken Technical College to bring low-cost, low-carbon H2 production to Missouri
BayoTech and Ranken Technical College announced the expansion of their H2 distribution network into the St. Louis, Missouri region. The BayoTech-owned BayoGaaS H2 hub will be located onsite at Ranken and will produce 350 tpy of low-cost, low-carbon H2 for local users.
