H-TEC SYSTEMS realizes industrial project with Gruyère Hydrogen Power

H-TEC SYSTEMS, manufacturer of PEM electrolysis systems, is selling two ME450 PEM electrolysis systems to Gruyère Hydrogen Power SA (GHP) for a production plant to produce green H2. In the future, GHP will supply the green H2 to an international industrial company based in Switzerland. Gas engines are operated there with the emission-free energy source. The systems are scheduled to go into operation at the end of next year.

The two ME450 PEM electrolyzers each have an electrical output of one megawatt and are supplied with green energy, which mainly comes from photovoltaics. With a system efficiency of 74%, the two plants produce a total of up to 900 kilograms of green H2 per day.

Green H2 as an emission-free fuel

The need for green H2 as an emission-free fuel in industry is growing. GHP has also recognized and taken advantage of this potential. GHP is part of Gruyère Energie SA, an energy supplier in the canton of Friborg in western Switzerland, which supplies many surrounding communities with electricity, water and heat. GHP is specifically responsible for the energetic marketing of green H2.

H-TEC SYSTEMS implements an industrial project in Switzerland

“Gruyère Hydrogen Power set out to build a plant to produce hydrogen for industrial needs, which requires high reliability. We are convinced that in H-TEC we have chosen an experienced partner who will meet our technical expectations, with this project, the hydrogen pioneer H-TEC SYSTEMS is further expanding its market presence in Switzerland. The project with GHP will be realized in the canton of Fribourg. "I am very pleased that we can further expand our market presence in Switzerland with the project," said Robin von Plettenberg, CEO of H-TEC SYSTEMS. "It is a very interesting, multifaceted project with an end customer from industry."

Just a few kilometers from the site where the two PEM electrolyzers will be installed, H-TEC SYSTEMS will deliver two more ME450 PEM electrolyzers as part of another project next year. "Not only do we have a very interesting project here with very cooperative discussions, but we are also only a few kilometers away from our other project in the canton of Fribourg. We look forward to a successful cooperation in the years to come," added Alexander Detke, Sales Manager at H-TEC SYSTEMS.
