John Cockerill’s Chinese subsidiary completes delivery of 24 stacks for solar-powered green H2 project

John Cockerill’s Chinese subsidiary Cockerill Jingli Hydrogen completed the delivery of 24 stacks to Sinopec. With an annual H2 generation capacity of 20,000 tpy, Kuqa is the largest solar-powered green H2 project in the world.

Sinopec is a Chinese leader in the petrochemical industry. The green H2 produced will replace gray H2 from natural gas. A total of 52 sets of 5 MW alkaline H2 production equipment have been installed for this project. With 24 sets, our subsidiary Cockerill Jingli Hydrogen was the project’s largest supplier, delivering nearly 50% of the total order.

Kuqa project with Sinopec is John Cockerill Hydrogen’s largest Power to Gas reference. John Cockerill is proud to help Sinopec Tahe refinery to reduce the emission of 485,000 tpy of CO2.
